In 2018, Schaller paved the way for the next generation of revolutionary strap locks with the introduction of the new S-Locks. This innovative product has been setting the standard in strap locks for decades, thanks to its unique design and functionality.

The S-Locks, named for "save," "silent," and "Schaller," feature a one-piece hardened steel strap button that is aesthetically pleasing and easy to handle. These new revolutionary strap locks are silent, eliminating the noise that can occur while moving and playing instruments.

The S-Locks come with a new Lock-Wheel that offers a three-step security function. First, the lock wheel can be screwed on tool-free with a patented self-locking thread. Second, an Allen key or screwdriver can be used to tighten it for maximum security. Finally, a micro cone-top screw can be used to attach it permanently, ensuring that the wheel will never be lost.

The strap button of the S-Locks is a new and unique solid one-piece design in hardened steel with a self-tapping wood thread. It can be easily screwed on with a 3 mm Allen key. The extended thread length allows for the use of straps up to 6 mm thick, providing maximum security against breakage.

The new designed slanted locking bolt in stainless steel ensures permanent precision, reliable performance, and a wear-free finish. The pull-up ball has also been redesigned for easy-grip locking and release.

The S-Locks are fully compatible with all existing Schaller Security Locks, allowing users to use a single strap for all their guitars. Schaller has also introduced strap button replacement kits to convert existing instruments to the new S-Locks without any adjustments to the existing holes and screws.
